Saturday Lunch Train

Enjoy an afternoon excursion through the stunning Moorlands countryside with a delicious 3-course meal.

Featuring incredible meals such as Ham Hock Terrine starters and Roasted Cod Loin & Chorizo mains, with plenty of fantastic options for vegetarians, this is a journey through our stunning Moorlands you won’t soon forget.

Sunday Lunch Train

There is nothing better than a traditional Sunday lunch, so why not combine this with a relaxing journey through the heart of the Staffordshire countryside?

Our Moorlander Sunday Lunch train offers that most classic British Sunday fare: Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Indulge in roast beef or chicken, or our incredible and vegetarian-friendly roast mushroom "Meatloaf" with tarragon and garlic, all served with Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables, and roast potatoes.

Breakfast Train

Kickstart a day of adventure aboard Churnet Valley Railway's Breakfast Train.

Take in the beauty of a Staffordshire morning while enjoying a freshly prepared hot breakfast aboard a vintage steam train. With classics like the 'Old English' and Eggs Benedict on the menu, alongside our local favourites –Sausage, Bacon, or Vegetarian Potters– you'll be spoilt for choice.

While all of our breakfasts are served with unlimited hot drinks and water, feel free to add a sparkle to your breakfast with a bottle of Prosecco.

Mid-Week Lunch Train

Our mid-week lunch train is guaranteed to leave your stomach and soul satisfied as you enjoy our gastronimic delights while being waited on hand and foot. Our 3-course lunch consists of a range of exciting starters, beautifully prepared mains like the classic Boeuf Bourguignon or Chicken Supreme, and classic British desserts loved by all.

Staffordshire Cream Tea

Fancy a traditional cream tea and all the delights that go along with it?

Join our Staffordshire Cream Tea train and glide through the beautiful Moorlands countryside on a vintage steam train and indulge yourself with homemade scones, clotted cream, and jam. Bite-sized cakes made locally top off this sweet treat. We offer a gluten-free option to ensure that everyone can experience and enjoy the luxury of the Churnet Valley Railway.

Bombay Express

If you enjoy something a bit more exotic than cream teas and Sunday roasts, Churnet Valley can add some spice to your life!

Enjoy classic Indian-style curry with all the side dishes in our classic 1960s English first-class dining carriage. Savour a 3-course dinner as you watch the sun set across the Moorland’s horizon. It’s a perfect romantic date for two or special treat for a loved one.
