Ipstones Express

Super Power Weekend 1st & 2nd February 2020


6046 & 5197 take the strain as the Cheddleton based locos show the guest how to climb a bank.

Sunday of the Weekend finishes on a high as the three triple head with 8 coaches and 2 Class 33's behind them!
A stark contrast to Super Power Weekend 2018 as the river Churnet works its way to Froghall
The first trip of the weekend is a success as S160 6046 banks the train to Ipstones
We hosted our very own great gathering as the 3 S160's line up on shed

It isn't all work on the footplate as the volunteer tucks into his Ice Cream
A great event for all the family
See Froghall as never before when the evening service is running
Polish Tank 2944 waits in Froghall while the afternoon sun shows of the bright paint work typical of the engine
With bands performing under the waiting shelter on platform 2 you will always have view of the spectacular groups.

Rail Ale Trail 2019


Ale and Larger at the ready with over 100 available from all three stations and four pubs
With both steam and diesel running over the weekend there was something for everyone.
With the snacks and local ales available you will never go hungry or thirsty at this event.
With the band on platform 2 you will be sure to get a great view even with the train in the platform!
With plenty of seating and the all request DJ you will be sure to find something that gets you dancing
