The popular Kids Go Free offer at Churnet Valley Railway returns for the 2026 season — continuing the success of its introduction during the Rail 200 celebrations in 2025.
Following an overwhelmingly positive response from families last year, the offer has been extended across all public running days in 2026, making it easier than ever to enjoy an affordable family day out aboard a heritage steam railway in Staffordshire.
How the Kids Go Free Offer Works
On every public running day throughout the 2026 season:
- Up to four children (aged 0–15) travel FREE
- With each full-fare paying adult
- Valid on standard public passenger services
- Pre-booking only – this offer must be booked online in advance
Please note: the Kids Go Free offer is not available for walk-up purchases on the day. To qualify, tickets must be booked in advance through our online booking system.
There are no limited promotional dates — if we are running a public train service and you have pre-booked, the offer applies.
