Thomas The Tank Engine is coming to the Churnet Valley in August

Peep! Peep! Thomas the Tank Engine is set to roll into the Churnet Valley Railway for a Day Out With Thomas during the August School holidays.

This fun-filled event offers children and their families the opportunity to take a ride with a Thomas the Tank Engine steam train, meet The Fat Controller and join in lots of other fun.

Thomas will be at the Railway on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th and Bank Holiday Monday 27th August with trains running between Froghall, Consall and Cheddleton Stations from 10am until 4.25pm each day.

The event, returning to the Churnet Valley after great success in the past, is an excellent day out for all Thomas fans and there will be plenty for the whole family to enjoy.

Take the steam train and meet Sir Topham Hatt, The Fat Controller, visit our Imagination Station where we have Magic Shows, Punch & Judy Shows, colouring and craft tables and Thomas temporary tattoos. Plus ride behind Thomas himself in the  brake van  with the Troublesome Trucks!

“Thomas the Tank Engine is a great favourite not only with children, but with parents and grandparents and we are delighted to see him return to the Churnet Valley Railway,” commented commercial manager Margaret Mountford. “He visited us in February when the snow visited us too, so now he is back for a summer holiday in the warmer weather" continued Margaret

Thomas events are hugely popular on the railway. It Is an ideal day out during the six week holidays and we expect a large number of visitors, so pre-booking tickets is essential.”

A family ticket, two adults plus two children, costs £40 and individual prices are adults £14, seniors £12, children £7, children under 2 free.
