Guess what? As summer approaches, everyone’s favourite team of rescue pups are returning to the Churnet Valley! They will be looking to meet all of their pals, both old and new, for another paw-some adventure following their hugely popular debut last Easter at Froghall station. Taking a break from their busy schedule, Chase & Skye have been given the weekend off to make personal appearances at intervals throughout the weekend of 22/23 June. So why not come and down and join in all the fun with these heroic pups?

The Nickolodean series, featuring a pack of six Search & Rescue pups lead by a tech-savvy boy called Ryder, has become a huge hit with youngsters since its launch in 2013 and the team’s missions continue to excite all of their young fans.

Visitors to Churnet Valley Railway will get to join in with story time acted out by their heroes, before being able to pose with the pups themselves. Entry will also include access to the Activity Tent at Froghall where you can enjoy a selection of fun-filled activities set up alongside the pups. Children’s entertainers will be performing numerous tricks including, but not limited to, Circus Skills and Balloon modelling plus colouring, music and games. Guests are welcome to stay as long as they want this part of the site, with the Signal Tearooms open all day offering a varied menu to suit all tastes, plus the Signals Souvenir Shop has a number of items available to take away a cherished memory of your visit.

Tickets include a full round trip at a pre-set time along the Churnet Valley Railway’s 5.5 mile line from Froghall Station to Leekbrook Junction and return behind one of our heritage locomotives. Guests are reminded to make sure they have their cameras with them, as there will be plenty of opportunities to take lots of pictures throughout the day.

Time slots for entry begin at 10:00, with the final entry time being at 15:20 – the event closes at 17:30 each day. Passengers can board at either Cheddleton or Froghall, and pre-booking is highly recommended for this event (there is an online discount for all pre-booked tickets!). Entry to the event will be restricted to ticket holders only throughout the duration of the event.
A Family Ticket online costs £57 for two Adults and two Under-15s, whilst Adults are £17 each, Under 15s are £14 each and Under 2s are £7 each.
