Anything Goes And Cider Festival Comes Together

With up to 20 Ciders and 5 Bands performing over three days it is setting up to be a amazing event.

Join us for the Churnet Valley Railway's next enthusiast event, as the line come to life with all manner of engines. The weekend of 1st -3rd June 2018 will see the line host its annual summer gala, with the addition of a Cider Festival. The home fleet will be operating an intensive service along the Churnet Valley line, including operations late into the evening on Friday & Saturday.

Engines hoping to make a appearance are:

BR Class 08 no. 08633 (*subject to completion of repairs)
BRCW Class 33 no. 33102 "Sophie"
TKh no. 2944 "Hotspur"

There will be a number of live acts over the weekend performing at Froghall. With a large number of Ciders available all day from both Cheddleton and Kingsley & Froghall Station. All the bands will be performing at Kingsley and Froghall Station starting on

Friday at 19:45 Stepping Lane will be kicking off the weekend. There will be a short break in the middle for you to grab some food and drink before Stepping Lane finish.

Saturday morning will start with the all request DJ playing all the classic and the modern hits, just ask! Then at 15:15 Emily Kate will take to the stage before taking a short break then returning at 16:15 to finish off you afternoon. Our All request Dj will return to get you ready for Sinpusher. They will be taking over at 20:00 to help you round of this awesome day.

Sunday see the return of our all request DJ opening up at 11:00. Then to top of this weekend of Cider, Sound and Anything that goes we have Adam Darcy with the Evening Road Trip. He will be on at 13:45 to help you though our final day of Anything goes and Cider Festival



The Good Shed tea room at Cheddleton will be open:

Saturday 10:00 till 1800
Sunday 10:00 till 17:30 serving

And the return of our brilliant BB offering:

The Signal tea room at Kingsley and Froghall Station will be open:

Friday 15:00 till 23:00
Saturday 10:00 till 23:00
Sunday 10:00 till 17:30
The Signal tea rooms will be offering meals throughout the weekend to be eaten in or taken away. This weekend is also the start of BBQ season and with that comes a whole range of meals and options freshly prepared on the BBQ. On offer from the Signal Tearooms is:

Homemade Chicken curry with Rice and Naan Bread - Available from 12:00
Homemade Vegetable Lasagne Chips and Salad - Available from 12:00
Staffordshire Oatcakes with a variety of fillings
Assortment of cakes
Up to 10 flavours of Marshfield Farm Ice cream
