Step aboard the New Friday Lunch Train for a relaxed dining experience combining traditional British flavours with a journey through time. Departing at 13:30 from Froghall Station, this Friday lunch train is served in our lovingly restored heritage dining coaches, Nicholas and Diana, specially fitted for comfortable onboard dining.
Your journey begins in the wooded Churnet Valley, winding alongside the Cauldon Canal through Consall before emerging into the open countryside of the Staffordshire Moorlands. As you settle into your table, set with Steelite crockery from Stoke-on-Trent, our attentive team will serve a freshly prepared three-course lunch, made using locally sourced ingredients and cooked onboard in our original kitchen carriage, Car No. 80030.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a leisurely Friday lunch or simply looking for something a little different, this offers an indulgent yet unpretentious dining experience where good food, heritage and a steam railway journey come together.
